Dwaraka Tirumala

Timings: 6 am to 1 pm, 3 pm to 5:30 pm, and 7 pm to 9 pm.

Time Required: 2 -3 hours.

Entry Fee: Pilgrims will receive Darsanam tickets for free, making it easy for all devotees to visit. (Seeghra Darshan ticket charges Rs. 100 per person)

About Temple:

Temples signify holiness and are the best places of worship for many Hindu religious pilgrims. Every year devotees visit and dedicate festivals in various temples in India.

Dwaraka Tirumala has located near Eluru, 42km from the West Godavari district. The pilgrim center is famous due to Dwaraka, a holy saint. The saint first found the self-manifested Lord Sri Venkateswara after the harsh penance in Valmikam/ anthill. Lord Sri Venkateswara is Kaliyuga Valikunta Vasaand names the pilgrim center Chinna Tirupati (small Tirupati).

The temple offers free Anna prasadam for thousands of devotees. For example, 2000 pilgrims from 11 am to 3 pm on regular days. On weekends and special days, the temple receives 4000 to 5000 devotees. They also provide Anna prasadam for all devotees from 9 am to 4 pm. One can also get Anna prasadam on Fridays from 8 pm to 11 pm.


Devotees who need accommodation can easily book cottages, Kalyana Mandapams, and Choultries. The devotees pay a set booking fee to the temple authorities. The rooms have all the facilities such as a water heater, good lighting, water, and more. There are two dormitories for which users pay Rs.10 to help accommodate the pilgrims. The dormitories have all the facilities to keep all pilgrims comfortable.

Balayogi’s Sandhana Science Park:

and Biology.. Each department is given a sufficient space to demonstrate the working models. Bearing the name of the former speaker of the Lok Sabha, late GMC Balayogi, the science park in Eluru is a major site of interest. To educate the people with the logic behind each phenomenon and prevailing the society from believing in the superstitious claims, Balayogi Science Park is the right place that an individual should visit. Presently, this park is seen as the apt place for the educational excursions.

Kolleru Bird Sanctuary:

Timings: Sun to Sat 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

Time Required: 3 hours

Entry Fee: Rs 10 and RS 100 for Camera

His lake is a major tourist attraction. Many birds migrate here in winter, such as Siberian crane, ibis, and painted storks. The lake was an important habitat for an estimated 20 million resident and migratory birds, including the grey or spot-billed pelican (Pelecanus philippensis).

The sanctuary protects part of the Kolleru Lake wetland, which gained Ramsar Convention for International importance in 2002.

Kolleru Bird Sanctuary is located in the Eluru district of Andhra Pradesh between the River Krishna and River Godavari deltas spread over 10 to 25 km from Eluru City.

In the past, the water level in the lake was between contour 7 and 10 during the monsoon, and it fell to contour 3 during the dry season. The area in contour 3 is 135 square kilometres and the area in contour 10 is 901 square kilometres. These conditions do not prevail any more with fish tanks and roads occupying most of the lake.

Abhaya budda Statue, Eluru

A magnificent 74 feet Buddha statue was constructed in the middle of the pond named GajjalavariCheruvu and a painting gallery was also created to spread the Buddha’s teachings. The pedestal is decorated with famous Amaravathi sculptures along the railings of the foot bridge up to the statue. ,
